Q. Do you offer gift vouchers?
A. Yes. You can purchase coffee school credit here or on our ‘Courses’ page. As default any store credit purchased will send you or a chosen recipient a store credit code. This code can be entered at the checkout screen and is redeemable against all of our courses. It can also be used in more than one transaction up until the store credit amount is fully redeemed.
In addition to the store credit code, you also have the option to request a professional printed gift voucher for that special gift. There is a small charge of £1.95 for this including P&P.
Q. Professional Level 1, 2 or 3, which course is best suited for me?
A. We have designed the professional coffee courses to take you from complete beginner to coffee guru. However purchasing all three courses in quick succession is not always the most effective way to learn. We recommend after taking a professional courses, practicing the techniques and skills you have learnt before progressing to the next level. The competency for each level is as follows:
Level 1 – Complete novice, you will have a passion for coffee but not necessarily any experience. We will teach you all the basics of brewing espresso and steaming milk.
Level 2 – We expect level 2 students to have a good understanding of calibrating the grinder and extracting a good quality espresso. Level 2 students should be able to steam milk with good micro foam.
Level 3 – Level 3 really makes a jump into being a coffee guru so students are already expected to have a firm grasp on extracting excellent espresso, steaming different types of milk and pouring basic patterns.
Q. Do you offer any certification?
A. All professional level coffee students will receive a certificate at the end of each level. We are currently working on also developing a diploma level course with work experience.
Q. What shall I wear to my course?
A. It is best to wear comfortable clothes to your course as most will be spent standing at the coffee machine. We also suggest sensible and comfortable shoes.
