Our Coffee School and Philosophy
Winchester Coffee School offers a spacious room above the Roastery in a relaxed learning environment. Fully equipped with a range of espresso machines, grinders, and the Roastmax coffee Roasts downstairs, you will have all the right tools at your fingertips.
We believe learning needs to be informative, relaxing and fun. This is why you will find a large sofa and a fully-equipped kitchen to make your time with us as relaxed as possible.
Our goal is simple: to share our passion and expertise for coffee as a product, service and experience.
Our team has a wealth of knowledge and skills, from roasting coffee to the brewing process. Through advice on running your own businesses, whether a cafe, mobile coffee bar or other catering arena.
Winchester Coffee School was opened in 2012. At this time only a handful of businesses were teaching Espresso classes, most of which seemed to be very dated with their techniques and ideas.
After training in Australia and working with some of the best Baristas and Roasters around, owner Mark Goulding knew he could certainly bring some fresh skills and practices back home to the UK coffee scene. To date (2022), we have had over 5,000 people through our doors, teaching novice and experienced about Espresso making, Latte Art, Coffee Roasting and Customer service. We have worked with and trained some of the best Baristas and Latte artists in the UK.
